lyrics

A land so turned to dismal decay
people just living day to day
the stench of waste reeks through the air
the trees are screaming in despair
as ashes all but cover the ground
our race will nary make a sound
whats left will fall to blackened night
our legacy, the ongoing fight

There is nothing left for us
this world has grown so cold
the dreams I once had
will never be fulfilled
I cry out to the night sky
tear my soul in winters dusk
what little pain will die away
nothing more is left to say

Do not shed a tear nor drop one bit
of blood for all we have known is but a lie
we were meant to die
and if after we have gone there
remains only our song and the
coldest breath of breeze
the death of the Trees

Death will slowly permeate
as is just to our fate
life was just a piece of glass
never fucking meant to last
We all drown in our own filth
no way one to save ourselves
liberated we are free
but choking now
death of the trees

Burned and charred our world remains
nothing left – cannot be saved
if we continue on this path
the lights will slowly fade to black
and choking on the fumes of death
the trees will slowly take our breath
the world we've allowed to burn in hell
with natures fury, we're expelled

The spirit will never parish
though the body may bleed
the soul will not wither
we are the disease
the mind cannot wander
wherever it may please
Mother, now is fading
Death of the trees

Death will slowly permeate
as is just to our fate
life was just a piece of glass
never fucking meant to last

Do not shed a tear nor drop one bit
of blood for all we have known is but a lie
we weren't meant to die
and if after we have gone there
remains only our song
a distant revery
the death of the trees
